Quincy Notre Dame achieved one milestone and moved closer to another Friday night. The Lady Raiders set a school record for most regular-season wings with 26, thanks to a 51-38 victory over Clopton on the road. QND, ranked No. 2 in this week’s Illinois Class 3A state poll, is also one victory away from completing the second undefeated regular season in school history. The Lady Raiders (26-0) can achieve that mark with a win at St. Louis Notre Dame today. QND used an 18-8 second quarter against the Lady Hawks (14-6) to jump out to a 33-17 halftime lead. Chloe Barnes led QND with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Hillary Obert, making her return after missing two games with an elbow injury, also scored 11 points, while Karlee Gengenbacher added 10 points. —sports@whig.com/221-3365
