Quincy Noon Kiwanis will hold Mall auction Saturday

QUINCY -- The Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club will hold its annual charity auction at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Quincy Mall Center Court. Proceeds will be distributed to local organizations that help children.

Items to be auctioned include tickets to a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium, tickets to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field, automotive items and services, home improvement items, fitness packages, photography, spa services, and gift certificates. All items may be viewed online at kiwanisofquincy.org. Bids may be submitted by email to quincynoonkiwanis@gmail.com until 5 p.m. Friday.

The Kiwanis auction has raised more than $1.5 million during the last 20 years and will accept grant requests from local organizations that benefit young people in Quincy and Adams County. Grants are generally capped at $1,000 and are presented in June or July.

Ewalt Auction and Real Estate will manage the auction. Gold sponsors include SM Wilson, Wells Fargo Advisors, Doors N More, Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, United Community Credit Union, First Bankers Trust Co., the Kroc Center, Brown Electric, The Herald-Whig, Western Catholic Union, KHQA TV, the Quincy Mall, Refreshment Services Pepsi and Quincy Mack.
