To The Herald-Whig:
It was interesting to read the background on Dennis Williams, who is personally trying to keep Teen Reach alive and serving the Quincy community.
Because of the lack of state funding, Williams went many months without compensation in order to keep Teen Reach open. Teen Reach recently received the Humanitarian Award (a non-monetary award) from Cornerstone, which is also a valuable nonprofit serving the needy in Quincy.
Teen Reach's impact on children, first grade through 12th grade, is immeasurable. Teen Reach needs financial donations, as well as volunteers who can help with math or to whom the students can read.
The Quincy community would be well served to give Williams, and itself, a hand with both monetary donations and additional volunteers.
