LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Quincy University women's golf team rebounded from a tough day on Saturday at the Saginaw Valley State University Invitational by knocking off 29 strokes on Sunday to finish in ninth place in a field of 19 teams at Kearney Hill Golf Links.
The Hawks finished with a team score of 681, topping three other Great Lakes Valley Conference schools.
Freshman Emily Van Rie tied for the fourth-best round of the event with a 3-over par 75 on Sunday. Her two-day score of 164 put her in a tie for 18th place.
Marlee Clouatre was next for the Hawks with a 171. Destinee Campbell scored a 174, and seniors Jamie Frederick and Katherine Rathgeber each carded 177.
Grand Valley State won the team title with a 630. Ashland's Kaitlin Neumann won individual medalist honors with a 153.
