Logsdon muscles up to give Tigers plenty of cushion

EDINA, Mo. -- Lance Logsdon belted a pair of home runs to stake the Canton baseball team to a 9-1 lead, and the Tigers squashed Knox County's seventh-inning rally to grab an 11-7 victory Thursday.

Logsdon hit a two-run homer in the first inning and added a leadoff home run in the third inning, kickstarting a six-run frame. MAcon Wright, Josh Kermoade and Koy Smith each had an RBI single in the third inning as well.

Logsdon finished 2 for 4 with four RBIs, while Carson Birck went 3 for 3 with two runs scored for Canton.

Koy Smith earned the victory, allowing three runs and five hits over five innings. He struck out three and walked two.

Hayden Miller and Nick Edwards had two hits apiece for Knox County.
