KINGDOM CITY, Mo. -- A Marion County Ambulance overturned early Friday, causing serious injuries for a patient.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the Ford F-450 ambulance was traveling west at 3:55 a.m. on I70 near Kingdom City. It slid off the right side of the road on wet pavement and overturned.
Alexander A. Taleff, 80, of Hunnewell, had serious injuries. He was being transferred from Hannibal to University Hospitals in Columbia at the time of the crash. He was then taken by Callaway County EMS.
Marissa L. Capps, 26, of Pittsfield, Ill., was driving the ambulance and was wearing a seat belt. She told law enforcement officers she was not injured.
Reports did not indicate the conditions of any other passengers in the ambulance.
