PITTSFIELD, Ill. -- Two people were arrested on drug charges Saturday in Pittsfield.
The Pittsfield Police Department obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 600 block of North Dutton Street, a release from Pittsfield Police Chief Kenneth Yelliott said. Inside the residence, officers say they found and seized what they believed to be methamphetamine, hypodermic syringes, distribution bags and drug paraphernalia.
Charles Swarringim, 33, and Lisa Guthrie, 39, both of Pittsfield, were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic syringes.
The Pittsfield Police Department was assisted during the investigation by the Pike County Sheriff's Department and the Western Illinois Drug Task Force.
