Dennis and Sharon Morrall of 3004 Bluff Ridge Drive have observed their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married Sept. 2, 1967, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Quincy.
Mrs. Morrall is a daughter of the late August and Alma Schafer. Mr. Morrall is a son of the late Dorothy and Art Bornman.
They are the parents of Dana (Tim) Altman of Quincy and Tara (Brian) Forster of Anderson, Ind. They have four grandsons.
Before retiring in 2005, Mr. Morrall worked 31 years at Gardner Denver and LaGrange Foundry as a metallurgist and quality manager, followed by eight years as a senior technical specialist for Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center. He continues to do consulting work with local manufacturers.
Mrs. Morrall retired in 2006 after nearly 30 years in bookkeeping and inventory maintenance at Walgreens.
They both participate in volunteer work for several organizations and are active members of Madison Park Christian Church. Their interests include small group Bible studies, traveling, hiking, golf, pickleball and attending events involving their grandsons.
The Morralls celebrated their anniversary with a family trip to the northern coast and Mount Hood regions of Oregon in June. They have been blessed to experience vacations with the whole family for the last 12 years.
