Macon pulls away in last three innings

SHELBINA, Mo. -- South Shelby trailed 4-3 after three innings, but Macon scored nine more times in the next four innings and won 13-3 in a Clarence Cannon Conference softball game on Monday night.

South Shelby scored two runs in the bottom of the second thanks to singles from Autumn Blackford, Sadie Wear and Emilie Hamblen. After Macon scored three times in the third inning, the Lady Birds got one run back on a home run to center field by Blackford.

Macon (7-3) scored twice in the fifth, then twice in the sixth on a two-run homer to center by Macey Harrington. The Tigers then used four singles and four walks in the seventh to score five more runs.
