CLARKSVILLE, Mo. -- The Clarksville United Methodist Church will use proceeds from a dinner Saturday to help finance the ongoing restoration of the church's stained-glass windows.

The annual Applefest chicken dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church at the corner of Mo. 79 and Howard Street in the heart of Clarksville.

Tickets are $10 each and will be available at the door. In addition to fried chicken, the menu consists of homemade mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, hot rolls, homemade desserts, and beverages.

In addition to serving up fried chicken at Saturday's dinner, the church is selling prints and postcards of the windows as part of the fund drive. Prints created by local artist Bill Blakey cost $50. A set of six postcards is $5, and a bundle of five larger ones is $10.
