QUINCY -- A West Point woman was injured in a Thursday afternoon crash in Adams County.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department said a 2015 Hyundai Sonata driven by Erin F. Miller, 25, of Quincy, was traveling on U.S. 24 and slowing to turn right onto Einhaus Lane at 4:30 p.m. when a 2001 Ford Focus driven by Sara D. Ensminger, 26, failed to slow down and struck the Sonata. The department said Ensminger told deputies that she reached for a soda and her foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas pedal.

Ensminger was taken by the Adams County Ambulance Service to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries. She was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.

The department was assisted by the Adams County Ambulance Service and the Tri-Township Fire Department.
