QUINCY -- The Monster of a Garage Sale fall edition will return to the Oakley-Lindsay Center on Saturday.
The Monster sales bookend Quincy's garage sale season, and the fourth annual Monster of a Garage Sale fall edition will bring together up to 70 vendors under one roof. The sale is made possible by WGEM and The Herald-Whig.
Herald-Whig Marketing Manager Eric Wait said the community can expect the same event they've "known and grown to love" over the years.
"It will be full of different vendors selling multiple types of products," Wait said.
"There will be lots of collectibles, antiques and clothing."
People who buy VIP admissions tickets for $5 will be able to enter the event early, from 7 to 8 a.m. General admission begins at 8 a.m. and will run until 1 p.m. Coupons for $1 off the $3 general admission price will run in The Herald-Whig through Saturday and online at whig.com/monster.
Wait said the best deals will be available with VIP admissions because they offer "first pickings."
"We're involved in garage sales all year through the classified department, so it makes sense to have this event," Wait said. "It's a fun and unique event, and you never know what you'll find."
The Monster of a Garage Sale fall edition generally attracts more than 1,000 visitors and about 70 vendors from across West-Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri.
