Robert and Joyce McDonough of 2425 Kentucky Road will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 4 at Vermont Street United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Family and friends are invited.
Mr. and Mrs. McDonough were married Nov. 4, 1967, at East Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Washington, Pa.
Mrs. McDonough is the former Joyce McDowell, daughter of the late Robert and Florence McDowell of Washington, Pa. Mr. McDonough is a son of the late Horace and Lorena McDonough of Saegertown, Pa.
They are the parents of Bonnie Zabuski, and her husband, William Zabuski, of Quincy. They have one grandchild.
Mr. McDonough is a retired electrical engineer and, in retirement, drives cars for Gem City Ford. He is a member of Masonic Lodge 408, Quincy Consistory, Syria Shrine, Quincy Hi-12 and is a past patron of Alpha Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. McDonough retired from State Farm Insurance and, in retirement, was a cashier at Sears. She is a past matron of Alpha Chapter OES, past high priestess of Miriam Shrine, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem,a member of United Methodist Women,and is a Blessing Hospital volunteer and makes bears for children who come into the emergency room.
They are members of Vermont Street United Methodist Church.
The couple met at a restaurant.
