Doug and Alma Wilson

Doug and Alma Wilson, of Knox City, Mo., have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Kansas City area.

They were married Oct. 27, 1977, at Knox City Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wilson is the former Alma Kay Boltz, daughter of the late Marshal "Bud" and Doris Boltz of Knox City. Mr. Wilson is a son of the late Shelton and Marjorie Wilson, also of Knox City.

They are the parents of James Wilson and Teresa Wilson, both of Quincy, and Shawn Wilson of Chicago. They have four grandchildren.

Mr. Wilson is senior writer at The Herald-Whig and pastor of Knox City Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wilson previously was employed at Burnham Edina Manufacturing. In more recent years, she has been a babysitter and care giver for family members.
