Johnnie and Darlene Leithoff

Johnnie and Darlene Leithoff of 2226 Conway Court, Quincy, will mark their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. They also celebrated with a family cruise to the Bahamas in June.

Mr. Leithoff and the former Darlene Meyer were married Nov. 11, 1967, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camp Point, Ill.

Mrs. Leithoff is a daughter of the late Leonard and Virginia Meyer of Camp Point. Mr. Leithoff is a son of Donald Leithoff of Pittsfield, Ill., and the late Katherine Leithoff.

They are the parents of Connie (T.) Heberlein and Melissa (John) Johannessen, all of Quincy, and Johnnie (Marilyn Rossiter) Leithoff of Payson, Ill. They have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. and Mrs. Leithoff both retired from Pittsfield Mach-Tool and Welding. He enjoys golfing and fishing, and she enjoys scrapbooking, reading, crocheting and playing cards with friends.

They are members of St. Anthony Catholic Church and enjoy traveling. They have been to all 50 states and to Italy. They also enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

The couple met as pen pals while Mr. Leithoff was serving with the Marine Corps in Vietnam.
