LOUISIANA, Mo. -- The Louisiana Area Historical Museum will hold its annual fall dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the American Legion, 420 Kelly Lane.

The event will feature a Titanic theme.

Lisa Marks will portray the "unsinkable" Molly Brown, who at one time lived in Hannibal and survived the ship's demise after it struck an iceberg the night of April 14, 1912, and sank three hours later.

In addition, the event will feature a presentation about May Birkhead, a Louisiana woman who was on the ship Carpathia, which rescued more than 700 Titanic survivors.

People who attend the banquet will receive a replica of a Titanic boarding pass.

Banquet tickets are $25 each and are available from museum board members or by calling the board's president, Judy Schmidt, at 573-754-5697.
