Inside the matchup: After three victories in the Disney Tip-Off Classic in Anaheim, Calif., the Peacocks lost both games in the Hillyard Tip-Off Classic in St. Joseph, Mo. The second loss was a 77-65 setback against Missouri Western, which plays host to the Hawks on Saturday. The Peacocks are averaging 72.2 points per game, but they are being both outscored and outrebounded by their opponents. Senior guard Carson Parker is averaging 17.2 points and has a team-leading 27 assists. Upper Iowa has four players averaging between 4.4 and 7.8 rebounds. The Hawks' Marcus Hinton, a junior forward, is the only player to score in double figures in both games. His 19 rebounds against Grand Valley State were 11 shy of Tom Campbell's single-game record of 30 against Carthage in the 1959-60 season. The 45 field goals made in two games this season by Quincy is one more than the total field goals made in a 109-65 victory over Robert Morris-Springfield last November. Freshman point guard Ryan Briscoe has nine assists and has made 5 of 9 3-pointers.
