C-SC shoots season-low in home loss

CANTON, Mo. -- The Culver-Stockton College men's basketball team shot just 26 percent from the field in a 78-51 Heart of America Athletic Conference loss to Baker Saturday at Charles Field House.

C-SC (2-7, 0-2 Heart) made just 16 field goals -- eight in each half -- and seven of those came from 3-point range. C-SC shot 7 of 32 from beyond the arc.

Baker (7-0, 2-0) shot better than 40 percent in each half and led by as many as 28 points in the final 20 minutes.

C-SC used a 10-2 run capped by a Cullen Smith layup to take a 10-9 lead with 15:05 remaining in the first half. Bake, however, went on a 17-6 run. Baker led 38-25 at halftime.

Mike Johnson led C-SC with 17 points.
