MADISON, Mo. -- Two people suffered serious injuries from a one-vehicle crash Friday night near Madison.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol report said that Sidney M. Freese, 23, of Madison, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 24 one mile west of Madison when her 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer traveled off the left side of the road, overturned and ejected both Freese and her passenger, Zachary D. Cullom, 21, of Holliday.
The report says Freese was taken by Air Evac to University Hospital in Columbia and Cullom was taken to the same hospital by Monroe County Ambulance.
Neither person was wearing a seat belt, and the vehicle was totaled, the report said.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office and Madison Fire Department assisted the highway patrol.
