Big first half helps Unity go to 5-5

MENDON, Ill. -- The Unity girls basketball team put together its highest-scoring first half of the season in a 58-42 victory over Knox County Tuesday night.

The Lady Mustangs led 17-10 after the first quarter and scored 22 more points in the second quarter to take a 39-18 halftime lead.

Addison Eger and Addison Miller combined to score 22 points before halftime. Eger finished with a game-high 16 points, while Miller scored 14. Krista Schrader added 10 points for Unity (5-5).

Sidney Miller led the Lady Eagles (1-3) with 20 points, and Jessie Anderson added 10.
