Louisiana explodes in second half to beat North Shelby

MONROE CITY, Mo. -- The Louisiana boys basketball team's impressive third quarter was the key to a 49-31 victory over North Shelby Tuesday in the Monroe City Tournament.

Louisiana (3-1) led 18-12 at halftime, then outscored North Shelby (1-2) 19-4 in the third quarter. Derek Richards scored seven of his game-high 21 points during the decisive frame.

Zac Harrison scored 13 points, and Dalton Oberhaus added 11 points for the Bulldogs.
