Palmyra remains undefeated after first-round rout

MONROE CITY, Mo. -- The Palmyra boys basketball team raced to a 27-3 first-quarter lead on its way to defeating South Shelby 75-28 on Tuesday in the first the Monroe City Tournament.

Palmyra carried the momentum into halftime and led 41-10. Ragar McKinney scored 10 first-half points to lead the Panthers (3-0).

McKinney finished with 13 points. Palmyra was led by Peyton Plunkett's 19 points, and Abe Haerr added 14 points.
