Pirates lose another close game, fall to 1-4

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Wyatt Waelder scored 16 points to lead the Hannibal boys' basketball team on Tuesday, but the Pirates lost for the fourth time in five games in a 59-51 decision to Fulton.

Dezi Jones picked up five of his 17 points in the first quarter, but six Fulton players scored in the quarter to take a 15-14 lead. Hannibal's offense stalled in the second quarter when it managed just three field goals and trailed 30-22 at the half.

Fulton (2-0) made 9 of 14 free throws in the fourth quarter. Cameron Vaughn led Fulton with 18 points.
