Wind to blame in Clark County crash

WAYLAND, Mo. -- Strong winds were to blame in a Monday night crash in Clark County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Peterbilt driven by Scott T. Elvin, 59, of Onalaska, Wis., was southbound on Mo. 27, a half-mile south of Wayland, at 5:20 p.m. The patrol said a strong gust of wind blew the Peterbilt into the median where it overturned.

The patrol said Elvin was wearing a seat belt.

Injury information for the crash was unavailable.

The patrol was assisted by the Wayland Fire Department and Clark County Rescue.
