QUINCY -- Red Ribbon Days are Dec. 1 through Jan. 1 at Quincy schools as part of MADD's Project Red Ribbon. MADD, Quinsippi Chapter, in cooperation with local schools, PTAs and parent's groups are sponsoring this segment of the project.
During Red Ribbon Days grade school through junior high students will be given a red ribbon to take home. The students are to discuss with their family the problem of drinking and driving, and then they are to tie the ribbon onto the family car as visual reminder to everyone to not drink and drive.
Ribbons also will be available at Quincy's two high schools.
It is hoped that through student involvement young people will make better decisions concerning drinking and driving when they become adults.
