Will there be any restaurants open in the area for Christmas?

The Quincy Area Convention and Visitors Bureau produces a list each year of area restaurants that are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

However, other restaurants also might have hours of operation. We suggest you call to check their hours of operations, and many restaurants also provide a list of holiday hours near their entrances.

The bureau has confirmed holiday hours for:

The Abbey, 1736 Spring. It's closed Christmas Eve and open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Christmas Day.

Drakes Steak and Ale, inside the Quality Inn and Suites, 201 S. Third. It's open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Christmas Eve, and closed Christmas Day. Reservations are encouraged.

Hy-Vee Market Grille Expresses at 1400 Harrison and 3700 Broadway. Breakfast and lunch will be served from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Christmas Eve, but both are closed Christmas Day.

Riverside Smoke House and Grill, 222 S. Third. It's open from 11 a.m. to 5 or 6 p.m. Christmas Eve, and closed Christmas Day.

Scotties Fun Spot, 8000 Broadway. It's open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Christmas Eve with a full menu in the Winner's Grill, and closed Christmas Day.

Tangerine Bowl, 3530 Maine. It's open until 5 p.m. Christmas Eve and opens at 5 p.m. Christmas Day with a full menu and bar.

Tony's Too, inside the Holiday Inn, 4821 Broadway. It's open until 7 p.m. Christmas Eve, but for reservations only. It's open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Christmas Day with a regular menu.

Village Inn, 200 N. 36th, is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day.

The Salvation Army also serves a community Christmas Day meal from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kroc Center, 405 Vermont.
