College game preview: Quincy University at Indianapolis

Records: Quincy -- 4-8 (0-3 Great Lakes Valley Conference). Indianapolis -- 7-4 (1-2 GLVC).

Inside the matchup: The Greyhounds have not played since Dec. 19 and are 3-3 at home this season, losing to nationally ranked Barry (Fla.) 75-72 at Nicoson Hall in the final game before the holiday break. Indianapolis is one of only three teams in the league shooting 50 percent or better from the field (50.6 percent) and is third in the GLVC in 3-point shooting (43.4 percent). The Greyhounds rank eighth nationally in 3-point shooting. Indianapolis senior point guard Ajay Lawton is averaging 17.2 points and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 87 percent from the free-throw line. Sophomore guard Tate Hall went scoreless in the season opener, but he has scored in double figures in eight consecutive games and is averaging 12.5 points per game. Senior guard Eric Davidson ranks No. 1 nationally in free-throw shooting at 97.1 percent, having hit 33 of 34. He also is shooting 45.8 percent from 3-point range with 27 made treys. Quincy ranks last in the GLVC in field-goal shooting (44.4 percent) and free-throw shooting (59.8 percent). Junior forward Marcus Hinton remains among GLVC leaders in rebounding, ranking fourth at 9.6 boards per game, while junior forward Marsalis Johnson is third in blocked shots with 18.
