SHELBYVILLE, Mo. -- The North Shelby boys basketball team rallied in the fourth quarter for a wild 31-29 victory over Novinger Tuesday.

North Shelby outscored Novinger 16-8 in the final eight minutes. The Raiders trailed 28-22 when Dayton Mettes hit back-to-back 3-pointers to tie the game, and Mason Uhlmeyer hit a floater in the lane to give North Shelby the lead.

After a Novinger free throw, North Shelby turned the ball over, and Novinger called timeout with 15.9 seconds to play. Novinger's shot missed, and Uhlmeyer grabbed the rebound after a wild scramble. Novinger coach Rick Roberts was given a technical foul, and Chas Stockley made one of two free throws. North Shelby then inbounded the ball with less than a second to play to end the game.
