QU's James takes fifth in 200-meter dash at Illinois Wesleyan

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Quincy University and Culver-Stockton track teams competed in the Titan Open at Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon. QU's men took 13th out of 15 teams, while the women finished in 12th. C-SC's men finished in 15th place while the women took ninth.

QU's Noah James finished in fifth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.33, and Will Kipping took 10th in the mile with a time of 4:54.65. On the women's side, Kellyn Lamore finished fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:31.36.

C-SC's men had just one top-10 finish coming from Jacob Calvin in the shot put with a distance of 12.41 meters.

On the women's side, Paige Bray finished in third place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.92 and fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.11 seconds. Renate Richardson took third place in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 22:53.93, and Kirby McCain finished 10th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.74.
