MEXICO, Mo. -- A Shelbina man was injured in a Monday morning crash in Audrain County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Ford Explorer driven by Corey A. Peacock, 35, of Shelbina, was southbound on Route E, just south of Mo. 22, at 4:45 a.m. The patrol said the vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign, crossed Mo. 22 onto County Road 957 and struck a raised railroad grade crossing before leaving the right side of the roadway.
Peacock, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Audrain Ambulance to University Hospital-Columbia with moderate injuries.
The patrol was assisted by the Audrain County Sheriff's Department.
