COLUMBUS, Ohio -- It took a while for the Quincy University men's volleyball team to find an answer for Ohio State's start Sunday afternoon.

The fifth-ranked Buckeyes roared out to a 10-1 lead in the first set of a 25-22, 25-15, 25-15 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association victory Sunday at St. John Arena.

The Hawks trailed 14-4 in the opener before going on a 13-4 run to trim the lead to 18-17. Ohio State answered by scoring the next three points to pull away.

In the final two sets, QU had 11 attack errors to go with 11 kills.

Anthony Winter led the Hawks with seven kills and nine digs, while Collin Mark added eight digs. Noah Randall handed out 16 assists for QU (8-6, 0-4).
