INDIANAPOLIS -- The Quincy University track and field teams placed in 11 events during the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Championships this weekend.
Two relay teams placed 12th to turn in the Hawks' highest finishes. The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Kellyn Lamore, Athena Lesiotis, Maggie Porterfield and Hannah Horman ran a time of 4 minutes, 51.24 seconds. The men's distance relay team of Will Kipping, Logan Waid, Wilson Rosner and Wendell Bias turned in a time of 11:30.30.
Other finishers for the women's team included Ashton Leslie in the 400 (18th, 1:10.25), Lamore in the mile (21st, 6:04.54) and Lesiotis in the 800 (22nd, 2:34.30).
Top finishers for the men's team were Noah James in the 400 (13th, 52.01), Henry Baughton in the 60 (15th, 7.25), Chase Lowenstein in the shot put (18th, 12.66 meters), Rosner in the 3,000 (19th, 9:54.76), Kipping in the mile (20th, 4:42.37) and Waid in the 800 (22nd, 2:15.82).
