QUINCY -- The Quincy Family YMCA Dolphins swim team competed in the Illini district championship meet on Feb. 23-25. The Dolphins placed 11th with 371 points with the boys and girls combined and only 17 swimmers competing.

Maddi Cramsey, Emily Meyers, Luke Miller and Aaron Miller all swam three events and either swam personal bests or maintained their times. Miller also dropped his time in the 50 butterfly, qualifying for state.

Kendall Marks swam state-qualifying times in the 100 breaststroke and the 100 butterfly. Three relay teams -- the 11-12 boys medley, the 13-14 girls medley and the 15-21 girls medley -- all placed in the top 10. The 15-21 girls medley swam a state-qualifying time of 2 minutes, 11.89 seconds.

The Dolphins qualified 10 swimmers for the state meet on March 9-10 in St. John's, Ind.
