QUINCY -- A Quincy man arrested last month on a methamphetamine-related charge pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Adams County Circuit Court.

Dominic J. Hood's case was placed on the June trial docket, and a status hearing was set for May 16.

Hood, 30, faces one count of methamphetamine delivery over 15 grams, a Class X felony. An Adams County grand jury indicted Hood on the charge in February.

The West Central Illinois Task Force and the Quincy Police Department Street Crimes Unit said Hood was engaged in the sale of methamphetamine when he was arrested Feb. 10.

Hood also is set to be tried in May on an unrelated possession of cocaine charge in 2017 in Adams County. He is being held in the Adams County Jail on $100,000 bond.
