QUINCY -- Shelter Insurance will begin accepting entries March 12 for its fifth annual Thankful for Our Communities essay contest. Five winners of the contest will each receive a $5,000 grant for the charity of their choice and a $100 gift card for themselves.
To win, contestants must visit shelterinsurance.com/thankful to enter their essays about what makes their communities special. Essays must be between 3,000 and 6,000 characters long, and contestants should encourage others to vote for their essay. The essay that receives the most votes will win a prize. The next nine essays with the most votes will be submitted to a panel of judges, who will choose the four remaining winners. Entries will be accepted until March 30. Voting ends April 6.
