EDINA, Mo. -- Knox County residents are making plans to increase economic development in the county.

Edina resident Alex Reel said in a statement that a new group, called Grow Knox County, is forming.

"Over the past few months, a growing number of Knox County citizens have been meeting to discuss ideas and plans to help our county reach new levels of economic and community success and to ensure a future bright with possibility," she said. "We believe that great things are in store through focusing on service to the community, business development and encouraging new construction while also preserving our history, strategic promotion and creative funding options."

Those goals have led to the formation of Grow Knox County, she added.

Anyone interested in participating in Grow Knox County is invited to attend an upcoming meeting. The meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Knox County High School library, 55701 State Highway 6, Edina.

Those with questions can email Reel at reel.alexandra@gmail.com.
