Rodriguez would be good member of U.S. House

To The Herald-Whig:

The 18th Congressional District is in play because its current occupant is Republican Darin LaHood. If it weren't for his name recognition, he would have a difficult time offering his constituents anything of value with his representation in Congress.

Fortunately, I've met a worthy replacement, Junius Rodriguez, a history professor at Eureka College.

Junius (sounds like genius) is a smart, personable man and a distinguished scholar. He has a desire to serve this district as a way to give back after growing up poor in rural Louisiana.

In his travels around this district, I've managed to talk with him several times about a range of subjects and watch him interact with crowds that come to see him.

Junius demonstrates a thoughtful approach to any question and he listens.

I have absolutely no hesitation in my support for Junius Rodriguez. I would be proud to have him as our representative in Congress, and you would, too.
