QUINCY -- A Quincy man has pleaded not guilty to two counts of burglary in connection with the April 15 break-in of a downtown apartment building office.

Court records show that Jason M. Lugena entered the plea Wednesday in Adams County Circuit Court in connection with the reported burglary at Sunset Apartments, 301 N. Eighth. His case was placed on the July jury trial docket.

Lugena was arrested after the Quincy Police Department said officers were called at 12:41 a.m. to the apartment complex in reference to an alarm going off. When officers arrived, Lugena was reportedly found inside the manager's office.

Lugena continues to be held in the Adams County Jail on $5,000 bond.
