QUINCY --A telephone service outage is affecting the ability to contact the Quincy/Adams County 911 Center's non-emergency and administrative lines.

Director Steve Rowlands said emergency 911 calls are not affected, but those attempting to call the non-emergency number may not be able to get through.

Rowlands said the outage is also affecting administrative lines to the city of Quincy and Adams County offices, including the Quincy Police Department, the Quincy Fire Department, the Adams County Sheriff's Department and the Adams County Ambulance Service administrative lines.

It's unknown when the outage will be resolved.
