PALOMA, ILL. -- A fundraiser to benefit a Quincy woman struggling with health issues is planned from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Paloma Shelter House.
Jessie Barnes, 43, was diagnosed with bilateral kidney cancer and had a kidney removed this year. Her other kidney has three tumors, and the cancer has advanced to stage 4. Funds raised will help with medical expenses.
The fundraiser will feature a live auction, raffles, a cornhole tournament, food, a silent auction, music and a bake sale. The cornhole tournament will be at Paloma Park.
