NORMAL, Ill. -- Quincy Notre Dame product and University of Central Missouri golfer Drew Eaton carded a two-day score of 143 to in the boys 18-22 division of the State Farm Youth Classic Wednesday at the Weibring Golf Club.
Eaton, who is transferring from Western Illinois University, shot a 72 on the first day of the tournament before firing a 71 in the final round.
Eaton won by four strokes over former WIU teammate Joe Burks, who finished with a two-day score of 147. Parkland College's Tyler Woods finished with a 148 as the only three golfers to shoot less than 150.
Columbia College and Palmyra (Mo.) product Noah Wilson shot a 153.
Quincy High School product T.J. Wensing, who will golf at Quincy University, finished with a 165. QU golfer Nathan Hoebing shot a 170.
In the boys 12-13 division, Quinn Thomas from Hannibal, Mo., finished in second place with a two-day score of 140. He sat one shot off the lead entering the final round, and a 72 on the day gave him second place.
He finished just two shots behind Cy Norman from Benton, Ill., who carded a 68 in the final round.
