Maywood woman injured in Lewistown crash

LEWISTOWN, Mo. -- A Maywood woman was injured in a Monday morning crash in Lewistown.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a westbound 2013 Ford Escape driven by Sherry L. Copher, 54, of Maywood, was stopped, attempting to make a left turn on Mo. 6 in Lewistown at 7:50 a.m. when it was struck in the rear by a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Nicolas S. Lay, 16, of LaBelle.

Copher, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Lewis County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with minor injuries.
