Quincy police write 35 seat belt citations as part of July Fourth safety campaign

Quincy Police issued 35 seat belt citations during the Fourth of July safety campaign, according to Deputy Chief Doug VanderMaiden.

Law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois participated in the effort to get drunk and drugged drivers off the roads and encourage seat belt use. More than 150 state and local agencies were part of the effort funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns.
