QUINCY -- The Moonlight Ride for Hunger -- a family bicycling event to benefit the Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry -- is set for Saturday, Aug. 25.

The routes take riders through different parts of Quincy, but all of them include a trip over the bridges. There are three routes of different lengths: a 4-mile, 11-mile and 19-mile ride. A youth ride option is available for 10 to 15 year olds who are accompanied by a registered adult. Youth rides follow the same routes as the adults.

This event is sponsored by WGCA and Madison and Davis Bicycle Shop.

The cost to register for the event is $25. Registration can be made in advance at bikesignup.com/Race/IL/Quincy/MoonlightRideforHunger.
