MOUNT STERLING, Ill. -- Dot Foods said Thursday it will spend $12.8 million to expand a warehouse at its corporate headquarters in Mount Sterling.

The project will add 91,000 square feet to the refrigerated warehouse and fourth temperature warehouse -- a climate controlled area for candy -- and is scheduled to be completed in late spring 2019.

Work also is underway on a family health center in Mount Sterling for Dot employees and their family members covered by Dot's medical insurance.

In May, the company unveiled a 60,000-square-foot office addition at its headquarters.

When the warehouse expansion is completed, Dot's total warehouse space at the Mount Sterling headquarters will be more than 1.5 million square feet.
