Four Blue Devils shoot in 40s to win quadrangular

QUINCY -- The Quincy High School girls golf team had four golfers shoot in the 40s on the way to winning a quadrangular Friday afternoon at Westview Golf Course.

QHS's Laci Novosel and Brooke Walbring each carded 45s to lead the Blue Devils with a 184. Paige Cain scored a 46, while Avery Scott carded a 48.

The Blue Devils won by 29 strokes over Macomb.

The Bombers' Emma Thorman took medalist honors after firing a 40.

Quincy Notre Dame finished in third with a 220.

Lindsay May led the Raiders with a 45, while Hannah Dreier and Kegan Wall both carded 58s. Lauren Woodworth carded a 59 for QND.

Rock Island finished fourth as Josie Pennington's 52 was the lowest round for the Rocks.
