College Roundup: Cabrera wins first game as C-SC coach

Daniel Cabrera's first game as the head coach of the women's volleyball team at Culver-Stockton College didn't start like he hoped, but he couldn't have asked for a better finish. Senior Gabby Hickman led the way with 20 kills and 13 digs in a 21-25, 17-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-10 victory over William Woods on Tuesday night in Fulton, Mo. Jenna Lord had nine kills and 19 digs, and Paige Webster had eight kills and four service aces for the Wildcats. Kendra Gengenbacher had 26 set assists.

Hannibal LaGrange 3, Lincoln Christian 0: The Trojans were tied at 23 in the third set but scored the final two points to win 25-15, 25-20, 25-23 on Tuesday in Hannibal. Brenley Sterns led the Trojans (2-1) with eight kills, while Ashley Spay added seven.
