The Payson Seymour volleyball team rallied after dropping the second set to defeat Liberty 25-13, 28-30, 15-7 in the Lady Suns Classic Thursday night in Augusta, Ill.
The Indians advance to Saturday's championship pool with the victory.
Paige Knuffman led Liberty with 10 kills.
Southeastern d. Rushville-Industry: The Suns won in straight sets 25-23, 25-19 over the Rockets to advance to the championship pool of the Lady Suns Classic. Hope Cheney led Southeastern with seven kills and four blocks, while Sheyenne Covert had five kills. Alivia Lantz had four aces and 12 digs for the Suns.
West Hancock d. Western: The Titans beat the Wildcats in straight sets 25-10, 25-23 in the Lady Suns Classic. Reagan Eaves led West Hancock with six kills, while Haley Flores had three kills for Western. MAdisyn Andrews and Alyson McMillen had six assists for the Titans.
Illini West d. Beardstown: Gracie McDowell had eight kills and 12 digs as the Chargers won 25-15, 25-15 over the Tigers in the Lady Suns Classic. Megan Harrell added six kills for Illini West, while Karli Artman dished out 11 assists.
Pittsfield d. Carrollton: Maggie Marable had 10 kills to lead the Saukees to a 25-19, 25-22 victory at Carrollton. Addie Cox had two aces for Pittsfield.
