Iowa man facing child sex abuse charges

CARTHAGE, Ill. -- A Cedar Rapids, Iowa, man is facing multiple charges after being accused of sexually abusing a child.

Charging documents show that Jonathan M. Anderson, 43, was charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

He is accused of having sexual contact with a 7-year-old girl in Hancock County between Jan. 30 and April 20.

A warrant for Andersen's arrest was issued April 30.

Andersen was arrested by the Jones County, Iowa, Sheriff's Department and turned over to the Hancock Sheriff's Department on Aug. 28.

Andersen is being held in the Hancock County Jail on $150,000 bond. His next court date is Thursday for a preliminary hearing.
