Prep roundup: McCulla fires 33 but Raiders lose quadrangular

Quincy Notre Dame's Alex McCulla earned medalist honors with a 33 on Tuesday, but the Raiders finished second in a quadrangular at Jacksonville.

QND's 161 was eight strokes behind Chatham Glenwood and just one stroke ahead of Jacksonville. Luke Siebers shot a 38, Jack Leffers shot a 41 and David Hutson shot a 46 for the Raiders.

Central wins triangular: Connor Bross and Jalen Vance each shot 44 to help the Panthers beat Southeastern and Liberty at Arrowhead Heights. Dustin Steinkamp shot a 47 and Conner Hughes 48 to lead the Panthers. Bishop Roberts led Southeastern with a 49, and the Suns shot a 211. Liberty was led by Austin Heitholt with a 57.

Beardstown wins triangular: The Tigers' Chase Piehler shot a 33 to be the medalist, and Beardstown shot a 184 to beat Pittsfield by seven strokes at Rolling Greens in Mount Sterling. Cade Tomhave and Griffin Van Winkle led Pittsfield with 48s. Brady Bergman shot a 48 for Brown County, with finished with a 207.
